Woods are definitely cheaper than gas. This is by far the obvious advantage of wood fire pits over their gas counterparts. On the other hand, gas fire pits are known for its ease of operation, safer burn and clean burning operation. They don’t create smoke or soot and don’t leave any dirty by-products thus don’t require a considerable time for their upkeep.
